Have You Aligned Your Writing with Your Values and Goals??
Have you ever known of anyone who would do anything to get what they wanted or get to where they wanted to be? You might have watched that person be dishonest and take advantage of others to achieve the goal.? You hear them say anything and promise everything to get to the top and to grab the success. Use this information to determine what’s important as you review your writing. How could you use those traits to enhance your characters for the book(s) you are writing?
Important Characteristics
These characteristics are evident in many people. Of those, we often come in contact with everyday life in our business or personal life. It is curious how many people are gullible enough to be drawn into their web of deceit?? These people compromise their values as they are reaching for their goals. Use these tactics when you are creating your characters as you are writing your stories.
If you want to be successful at anything, align your values with your goals, especially if you’re going to lead.? What’s important as you review your life? What you value in your daily life can be considered. You can help yourself reach your objectives, and you’re on your way to success.? Values and goals must complementary with each other for you to be effective. These traits are also items to be used when you are writing so your characters are authentic.
As you strive toward aspirations, check to see if you struggle with anxiety and unhappiness. Reaching goals may not give you inner peace and happiness. If successful, don’t act like who you’re not or become someone you won’t like.? If you don’t like yourself, then probably no one else will either.
Define your goals
Define all of your goals.? There are many kinds and types of goals. Decide which is most important to you.? When most people try to define their goals, they first think of their career and monetary achievement.? These tendencies are a good dialogue for your characters too. It will help you determine what’s important as you review your writing.
This achievement may include your belongings and also social standing in your circles.? These might concur with your personal and spiritual goals as you move forward.? Use your dreams to gain a balance in every one of these goals in every area. Help your characters do the same in your stories.
Determine the values you want to stand for in your life?
Choose dedication, courage, honesty, loyalty, generosity, thoughtfulness, tolerance.? Which of these values drives you each day to get out of bed and do what you have to do? Consider these things for your books, novels, and any other area of writing you want to do.
- It could be God or the love of family.
- It could be the thought of gaining money and power.
- Or, it could be how you feel when helping others achieve their goals.
What to do if you want to be satisfied in your personal life and career. Consider and align your values and goals.? Most of us have thought we need to fake it until we make it. That would be a hollow victory unless these are your actual values.? Work hard each day, be true to yourself, and that will lead you to the person you desire to be.
List those you admire
Make a list of who you admire.? It could be any person who has the values you would like to have.? Many notable people, clergy, actors, and athletes have the qualities of life you admire, especially their character.? Choose to emulate these characteristics.
The people you admire and wish to imitate could also be personal friends or family members.? Ask them to tell you what motivates their lives and how they managed to align their values and goals. When these areas appropriately align with the goals and values, you’ll never regret where you are and where you will end.
